Getting it up and running in your computer...

'Quick Install':

Update Manager

Go to the update manager (Help > Install New Software), add:

http://pydev.org/updates

(or another of the specified urls) and follow the Eclipse steps.

Zip File

An alternative is just getting the zip file and extracting it yourself in eclipse.

For Eclipse 3.4 and 3.5, you can extract it in the 'dropins' folder (and restart Eclipse).

For Eclipse 3.2 and 3.3, you have to make sure the plugins folder is extracted on top of the Eclipse plugins folder and restart with '-clean'.

Notes

If you previously used the separate version of Pydev Extensions, it should be uninstalled before getting the newest Pydev version (which incorporated its features).

Requirements

At least one of:

Python (2.1 or newer)
Jython (2.1 or newer)
IronPython (2.6 or newer)

and

Aptana Studio or Eclipse (3.2 to 3.5)
- Python and IronPython require only the Platform Runtime Binary (download around 45-50 MB), and Jython also requires JDT.
Java 1.4 or higher
